For over 20 years, Sheila has dedicated a significant part of her legal practice to birth injuries arising from both obstetrical error as well as product defect resulting in multi-million dollar verdicts, awards and settlements. Sheila is a highly accomplished and experienced trial attorney who has obtained significant awards on behalf of clients in Massachusetts, and in several states across the country. Throughout her career, Sheila has continued to demonstrate a drive and determination that is so necessary for trial work. From the beginning of her legal career, Sheila’s practice included complex medical and legal issues. She has a successful track record for litigating claims pertaining to interstate truck accidents, personal injury, nursing home rape and abuse cases, wrongful death and products liability cases, including DES litigation, as well as claims of equity, will contests and family law. Sheila was directly involved with obtaining one of the highest awards for a trucking accident in the State of New Hampshire.
She has been admitted to practice law with the federal district court, as well as numerous trial courts throughout the country. Sheila has been an invited speaker on medical malpractice and birth injury.
Sheila is a highly skilled civil litigator having successfully litigated million dollar cases through verdict and settlement. Responsible for all aspects of multi-state civil litigation arising from medical negligence. Admitted to the United States District Court and Massachusetts Appeals Court. She has been admitted as trial counsel pro hac vice in cases filed in Illinois, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Missouri, Wisconsin, Georgia, Ohio, South Carolina, Arkansas, Florida and Tennessee.
Sheila has been recognized and selected to the 2016 Super Lawyers list by Thomson Reuters.
Sheila was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in 1996 and the United State District Court, District of Massachusetts in 2003. Sheila received her law degree from New England Law, Boston, Massachusetts where she graduated with distinction as a New England Scholar in 1996. She also graduated cum laude from Providence College, Providence, Rhode Island.
